According to the cutting structure, stabilizers can be:
- working in formations of I-III category of hardness, equipped with tungsten carbide inserts.
- working in formations of III-IV category of hardness, equipped with tungsten carbide inserts, slugs and impregnated diamond grains.
- working in formations of V-VI category of hardness, equipped with tungsten carbide slugs and impregnated diamond grains.
